Polyphony, Technology and Person-Centred Learning

In 2020 we were thrust into a changing world of online therapy and online learning. This posed many challenges for training and working with creative arts in therapy. We had to adapt. 

But what we learned was that the unique properties of digital technology can promote, enhance and deepen polyphony, creativity, and learning on a person-centred course. We found that digital media can be a helpful tool that promotes learning in new and unexpected ways. In particular when training with the therapeutic use of creative arts. 

In this presentation we would like to share some of what we have learned and discovered about the value of digital technology in person-centred training,

Psychiatric Department of University General Hospital of Alexandroupoli, Greece.

Συνεργάζεται με το Εργαστήριο Ψυχοκοινωνικών Σπουδών ως συντονιστής και
εκπαιδεύτρια ομάδας και επικεφαλής του τμήματος έρευνας. Είναι επιστημονική
συνεργάτης του Πανεπιστημιακού Ψυχιατρικού Τμήματος Παίδων & Εφήβων του Πανεπιστημιακού
Γενικού Νοσοκομείου Αλεξανδρούπολης. Η Κυριακή είναι Εκπαιδευτής APCCA και
φέρνει το μάθημα στην Ελλάδα αυτό το φθινόπωρο.

Ani de la Prida is a psychotherapist and creative
arts counsellor who brings a creative, person-centred, pluralistic approach to
her work.  She is passionate about creative methods in therapy and
has experience working with groups, adults, children, and young people in
a wide range of settings. 

Ani has taught at various universities
including Roehampton and the University of East London, where she did her
masters research on the use of digital media in therapy. She is an author
and is currently writing a book on the person-centred approach to creative
arts.

Ani founded the Association for Person
Centred Creative Arts (APCCA) where she is course director. 

Η Ani de la Prida είναι ψυχοθεραπεύτρια και σύμβουλος δημιουργικών
τεχνών που φέρνει μια δημιουργική, προσωποκεντρική, πλουραλιστική προσέγγιση στη δουλειά της. Είναι παθιασμένη με τις
δημιουργικές μεθόδους στη θεραπεία και έχει εμπειρία συνεργασίας με
ομάδες, ενήλικες, παιδιά και νέους σε ένα ευρύ φάσμα πλαισίων. Η Άνι έχει διδάξει σε διάφορα
πανεπιστήμια, όπως το Roehampton και το Πανεπιστήμιο του Ανατολικού Λονδίνου, όπου έκανε την έρευνά της
για τη χρήση των ψηφιακών μέσων στη θεραπεία. Είναι συγγραφέας και αυτή τη
στιγμή γράφει ένα βιβλίο για την προσωποκεντρική προσέγγιση των δημιουργικών τεχνών. Η Άνι ίδρυσε το Association for Person Centered Creative Arts
(APCCA) όπου είναι διευθύντρια μαθημάτων.
