Session One: 1st October - 10am to 12.15pm
Session Two: 8th October - 10am to 12.15pm
Session Three: 15th October - 10am to 12.15pm
On this course, you will learn about the person-centred approach. You will also discover how working with creative art can be therapeutic, can help develop self-awareness and promote mental health. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn about and develop your own creativity.
The main focus is on creative work, reflection and personal development.
It’s also a great way to experience person-centred creative arts as an introduction to the APCCA Certificate course.
Students will need to provide:
- A book to use as an art journal
- Ideally, a set of paints | pastels | pencils | paper
On this course participants will:
- Explore creativity and its importance
- Learn about the person-centred approach to creative arts
- Be able to engage with person centred art making
- Develop their self-awareness
- Develop creativity and confidence
The course is delivered over three sessions (currently online) and students will need to engage in home study activities of approximately one hour per week.
- This course is currently delivered online only via zoom and will make use of breakout rooms for small supportive groups.
- The course is delivered via 3 workshops plus 3 hours home study.
- This is an experiential course and is not assessed.
- CPD certificate provided.
